Biographie
Sophie réalise son premier film Apparences pour son bac de cinéma. A l'Université, elle étudie en parallèle le cinéma, l'histoire de l'art et l'archéologie, avec une préférence pour la Préhistoire. Pendant ses études, elle expérimente différents postes sur plusieurs tournages et réalise 8 courts-métrages expérimentaux en 16 mm et DV, tous autoproduits. Elle a écrit et réalisé 2 courts-métrages live : Un Amour (2009) produit par Takami Productions et sélectionné à Clermont-Ferrand ou encore Uppsala.
MAD (2016) produit par Films Grand Huit et recompensé par le Grand Prix Kinoma, le Prix Spécial du Jury d'Alès Itinérances et le Prix Jeune Public du Cinemed.
Traces, co-créé avec Hugo, est son premier film d'animation. Elle est actuellement en post-production du premier long-métrage dont elle est réalisatrice et productrice, Belladones.
Biography
Director and scriptwriter, Sophie Tavert made her first film Apparences as part of her baccalaureat studies. During her time studying film production at university, she made eight films in 16 mm and DV, all self-produced and highly experimental. In 2009 she wrote and directed Un amour(Takami Productions), which was selected for the festivals in Clermont-Ferrand and Uppsala, followed by MAD (Films Grand Huit) in 2016, which won the grand prix at the Kinoma festival, the special jury prize at the Alès Itinérances festival, and the young audiences prize at Cinemed, Villeurbanne.
She co-directed Traces (2019) with Hugo Frassetto, using animated paintings and sand, wrote her first full length film and is working in parallel on various products, including animation and photography, TV specials, feature films, series, etc.
