Biographie

Diplômé de l’Atelier de cinéma d’animation de l’ENSAV La Cambre, Rémi Durin crée à Bruxelles, en 2007, avec trois réalisateurs sortis comme lui de La Cambre, le studio d'animation L’Enclume qui touche à la réalisation de courts métrages, à la pub, au long métrage, au clip, à la série TV…

Depuis 2009, Rémi enseigne à l’école supérieure d’infographie Albert Jacquard de Namur.

Après Là-haut, Mademoiselle Chloé, et Séquence 01 Plan 02, ses films d’étudiant, Rémi Durin réalise De si près (2009), émouvante évocation de la guerre de 14-18, Le Parfum de la carotte (2014), une comédie musicale animée, en coréalisation avec Arnaud Demuynck, La Licorne (2016) d’après le livre jeunesse de Martine Bourre, et tout dernièrement Grand Loup & Petit Loup (2018) adapté du livre de Nadine Brun-Cosme et Olivier Tallec.

Il a développé depuis 2017 un long métrage jeune public, Yuku et la fleur de l’Himalaya, écrit et coréalisé par Arnaud Demuynck. Ce film sortira en salle de cinéma le 19 octobre 2022.

Biography

A graduate of the ENSAV La Cambre animated film workshop, in 2006 Rémi Durin together with three fellow graduates from the same school, set up L’Enclume Animation, an animation studio which makes short films, adverts, long films, video clips, TV series…

Since 2009 Rémi has been teaching at the Albert Jacquard CG school in Namur.

After his graduation films Là-haut, Mademoiselle Chloé, and Séquence 01 Plan 02, Rémi Durin made De si près (2009), a moving tribute to the 14-18 war, The Scent of Carrots (2014), an animated musical comedy, co-directed with Arnaud Demuynck, The Unicorn (2016) based on the kids book by Martine Bourre, and recently Big Wolf & Little Wolf (2018) adapted from the book by Nadine Brun-Cosme and Olivier Tallec.

Since 2017, he has developed a feature film for children, Yuku and the Himalayan Flower, written and co-directed by Arnaud Demuynck. The film will be released in theaters on October 19, 2022.
